Honest neighbourhood advice

A great hotel in the wrong location can ruin a trip. That is why every guide starts with the city itself: which neighbourhoods suit first-timers, where the night owls should sleep, which areas look central on the map but leave you stranded, and where you will simply overpay. If a district is noisy, touristy or not worth it, we say so plainly.

How we choose

• Independent selection: hotels cannot pay to be featured. We choose based on location, guest reviews, value for money and character.
• Regularly reviewed: when a hotel slips in quality, it gets removed.
• Every budget: most guides cover hostel-priced gems as well as splurges.

havenago is free to use, with no ads and no paywall. When you book a hotel through one of our links, we may earn a small commission from Booking.com via the CJ Affiliate network — at no extra cost to you. Booking, done safely

We deliberately do not handle bookings. Once you have found your hotel, you book directly on Booking.com — with their prices, their free-cancellation options and their customer support. We do the research; they handle the reservation.
